# Devbox 2.0

## Introducing the Anvil Devbox 2.0: Collect Data and Run Policies on the Same Box

The Anvil Devbox 2.0 is a fully enclosed robot control computer that ships with our teleoperation stack preinstalled — controllers, IK solver, and data collection software, qualified together.

Three things are new:

* **A partner ecosystem**, where partners only need to integrate once in order to offer new features to every Anvil customer.
* **Compatible with RTX 5060 Ti 16GB**, so the box that collects your data can run the policy you train on it.
* **A PCIe CAN card**, giving every arm a dedicated line and taking USB out of the control-loop timing path.

### Anvil Partner Ecosystem

Standardizing on one qualified configuration has a benefit beyond support: a partner integrates once and it works for every Anvil customer immediately.

That's a fundamentally different proposition than integrating against a hundred bespoke workstations, and it's why we build the Devbox as a specific, testable product instead of publishing a recommended parts list.

If you're a robotics company building something interesting, reach out — we want to help you ship it to our deployment base.

We'll have more to share soon, but here's where that's heading:

| Coming to the platform | What it means for you |
| ------------------------ | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Simulation** | Ready-made sim assets for Anvil platforms. Iterate in sim, move to hardware without rebuilding the scene. |
| **Remote teleoperation** | Drive robots and collect demonstrations from anywhere, inside the existing teleop stack. |
| **Model providers** | Policies integrated with the Anvil platform, running onboard or on your own machine. |
| **Tactile sensing** | New sensors that put force data into your datasets. |

### Run policies onboard: RTX 5060 Ti 16GB

The Devbox 2.0 is compatible with NVIDIA's RTX 5060 Ti. The GPU's 16GB of VRAM allows for training and deployment inside one box. Train ACT and Diffusion Policy, and run inference on those plus Pi 0.5 and more. The 180 W draw fits inside the Devbox's existing thermal and power envelope — no external brick, no chassis modification.

The Devbox is designed for the RTX 5060 Ti 16GB, but you'll need to source and install the GPU yourself. We recommend looking on Amazon. Reach out to our team for steps on installation.

**Prefer a different GPU?** Nothing changes. Distributed inference over CycloneDDS still works, and you can bring a machine with whichever GPU fits your needs.

### Everything qualified against one configuration

Anvil's job is to be the stable layer underneath your work while everything above it moves quickly. Use the tools you want, bypass the rest — jump straight into joint-space control, drive the arm through our IK solver, or bring MoveIt. Your call.
